During last week's TEST of our emergency communication system, we learned many families did not recognize the origin of the phone call announcement they received.
To fix this issue, we are asking all families to save "Collinsville Community Unit School District #10" in their phone contacts, along with the district's main number: 618-346-6350.
By doing this, urgent calls (including e-learning, weather and emergency announcements) will be clearly identified when you receive them.
Keep in mind, urgent announcements override your communication preferences. In the event of an emergency, messages are automatically sent by text, email, phone call and ParentSquare app notification.
If you did not receive the TEST emergency notification from the district on Friday afternoon, please check SKYWARD FAMILY ACCESS to make sure your contact information is correct. Also, make sure the district phone number is not blocked on your phone and that email notifications are not going to spam.
We conducted the TEST of our emergency communication system to troubleshoot any potential problems, and to let you see how actual announcements will be shared with you. We want to make sure everyone is prepared in advance of an actual urgent/emergency announcement being sent.
