The award was presented by Webster Principal Alison Schumacher and local Benjamin F. Edwards financial advisor Jason Rehg.

In her nomination of Ms. Elliff, Mrs. Schumacher wrote:

"It is my pleasure to recommend Ashley Elliff for the Educator of the Month award.. Ashley is truly devoted to her career in Pre-K and early childhood development, and her passion for her students and their families is evident in everything she does.

Ashley works collaboratively within the co-teaching model, ensuring that every team member feels valued and appreciated. Her deep understanding of the Preschool for All Grant and early childhood education allows her to align instructional practices with both state expectations and the developmental needs of her students.

As one of the first impressions families have of Collinsville CUSD #10, Ashley sets the tone for a welcoming and supportive school experience. She goes above and beyond to help parents feel like true partners in their child’s education from day one. Her warm and thoughtful approach makes the transition to school seamless for students, families, and staff alike.

Ashley creates a positive and inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive. She individualizes instruction, provides targeted supports, and adapts her teaching strategies to meet each student’s unique needs. Her inventiveness and flexibility ensure that all learners have the tools and encouragement they need to succeed.

In addition to her impact in the classroom, Ashley is a cornerstone of the Pre-K program. She guides new staff, researches and implements innovative teaching strategies, and shares effective interventions to strengthen the entire program. She models lifelong learning by continually seeking out professional development opportunities and coursework to enhance her own skills.

Ashley’s leadership extends beyond instruction. She mentors others, provides calm and steady guidance, and models emotional regulation for both students and colleagues. Even when students are experiencing “big feelings,” Ashley maintains her composure, empathy, and humor. Her ability to connect, support, and uplift those around her creates a classroom and school culture that radiates positivity.

Ashley’s deep care for her students and unwavering advocacy for their needs make her an invaluable member of our school community. She celebrates every success, no matter how small, and consistently reminds students—and colleagues—that growth is something to be proud of. Her humor, dedication, and genuine heart make her truly deserving of this recognition."
