Collinsville High School will honor 1978 graduate Robert L. Jackstadt with the 2025 Alumni Achievement Award during commencement on May 17, 2025.
Jackstadt was born and raised in the Jackstadt family home on Vandalia Street across from SS. Peter & Paul Catholic church where he attended school through 8th grade.
During his four years at Collinsville High School, Jackstadt played football and basketball. He earned first team All Southwestern Conference honors playing quarterback his senior year. Also during his senior year, he was a member of the Kahok Basketball team that took third place at state.
In 1982, Rob graduated with honors from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance, Investment and Banking from the College of Business and Administration.
He graduated from the Saint Louis University School of Law in 1985, where he was also a legal research and writing instructor, and a member of the Saint Louis University Law Journal.
Jackstadt is a founding shareholder in the law firm of Tueth Keeney Cooper Mohan & Jackstadt, P.C., a twenty-four lawyer firm with offices in Edwardsville and Clayton. Prior to the start of his current law firm in April 2000, Jackstadt was a partner with the law firm of Blackwell Sanders Peper Martin, now known as Husch Blackwell. He is licensed to practice law in Illinois and Missouri.
Rob practices in the areas of commercial, construction and education litigation. He has tried to a conclusion numerous jury and bench trials in federal and state courts located in Illinois and Missouri.
Jackstadt was selected by his peers as an Illinois Leading Lawyer in the area of Construction Law, and has also received an AV Rating from Martindale-Hubbell in both St. Louis and Edwardsville, the highest rating available.
Jackstadt was elected Mayor of Glen Carbon in April 2005. He served four terms as mayor and decided not to seek re-election in 2021. Prior to being elected mayor, he served as a Village Trustee from May 1995 to April 1999, and served two years on the Glen Carbon Planning & Zoning Commission from 1993 to 1995.
He was a member of the Board of Education for the Edwardsville Community School District 7 from April 2000 to November 2001.
Jackstadt has been married for 42 years to Kathi Kozyak Jackstadt, also a 1978 CHS alum. They have three grown children and seven grandchildren.
