C3 Awards Will Honor REACH Program Founded by Kreitner Teacher Kim Poe. Buy Tickets Soon.

The REACH summer program, started by Kreitner Elementary teacher Kim Poe, has been chosen to receive the Spirit of Excellence Award at the 2024 C3 Community Awards on December 4 at the Gateway Center.  

C3 (Collinsville Community Collaboration) is a partnership between the City of Collinsville, Collinsville Chamber of Commerce and Collinsville CUSD 10 to recognize individuals, organizations and businesses who make a positive contribution to the qualify of life in our community.  

The Spirit of Excellence Award is "...is presented annually to one person whose achievements and long-term commitments of excellence during the past year have resulted in creating a better Collinsville for all of us. The award recipients may be those who are already well known throughout the region or those who have worked effectively and may not be widely known.  The most important quality in a candidate will be their dedication to excellence in their field and the results brought about by that good work."

REACH runs a summer program for Kreitner students.  Kreitner teachers, staff and community members volunteer for REACH which provides fun activities and meals to children during summer break.  Kreitner bilingual teacher Kim Poe founded and coordinates the program. 

Twin Echo principal Dr. Julie Haake and Collinsville High School senior Dani Cari will also be honored at the 2024 C3 Awards

• Leader of Tomorrow (CHS senior Dani Cary)
• Stan Schaeffer Education Community Leadership (Dr. Julie Haake)
• Business Impact (Sandwich Shop/Shane Giger)
• Firefighter of the Year (Eric Freeman)
• Police Officer of the Year (Connor Diecker)
• Outstanding City Employee (Andrea Lindauer, Police Department Civilian Support Services Supervisor)
• Hometown Hero Veteran Award ( Russell Oliver)
• Spirit of Excellence Award (REACH Center/Kim Poe)

The annual C3 awards are a popular annual event to celebrate the best of Collinsville.  Make plans to attend!

TICKETS ARE STILL AVAILABLE
Reserve your tickets ASAP. Tickets for the dinner and awards presentation are $35 each and can be purchased though the City of Collinsville website.  Doors open at 5:00 p.m., dinner begins at 6:15 p.m.  

Please note: Tickets MUST be purchased in advance - NO tickets will be sold at the door.
